Terracycling

    Current

Terracycling is a scheme to recycle stuff that mainstream companies find it hard to do, like crisp packets, Pringles containers, cracker/biscuit/cake wrappers, oral care items (toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes), personal care/beauty products – there's a lot that can be kept from landfill or the incinerator. It might seem small beer, but if you add it all up it's a lot of CO2.
There are local collection sites (here and here) but the best idea is to mosey over to https://www.facebook.com/groups/329156661266796 which is in Beccles. This is the actual Terracycling website where you can scroll through all the different types of stuff they collect, (what they call 'programmes'), and by clicking on each map, find where you can take that particular stuff. To my mind, it's a clunky site, but there is a wealth of info there.
MEC (Most Easterly Community) will be producing leaflets and other publicity material all about Terracycling. We will be starting a Terracycling Collection Point, hopefully by the end of May 2021. This will be under the sails in The Triangle Market.
